Value Multi-Sport Acca for Saturday 12th October

Despite the Premier League taking a hiatus as we are forced to endure the Nations League, there is still some brilliant sport on Saturday.

We’re picking out four events across four different sports to put together a great value accumulator for the weekend.

Leg 1: Horse Racing

Dewhurst Stakes 2024 Betting

We’ve reached the business end of the flat season now and it’s about time to crown the champion juvenile. The Dewhurst Stakes is the big race at Newmarket, run at Group 1 level for the two-year-old colts and this is the race that City Of Troy won twelve months ago.

His stablemate, Aidan O’Brien’s impressive The Lion In Winter, is favourite for this race and it’s easy to see why. Going up against a £2m+ Godolphin runner in the Acomb Stakes at York last time, he was outstanding in victory and is unbeaten in two starts.

Up against him however is another Godolphin colt in the shape of Shadow Of Light. Though beaten himself at York in the Gimcrack, it was obvious he was on the wrong side that day and would carry on improving.

He improved in a big, big way in fact when winning the six-furlong Middle Park Stakes two weeks ago. There, he cleared away from a good field and is now the top-rated two-year-old in the country.

Despite that outstanding six-furlong run, he is sure to be suited by the step up to seven furlongs in this race being a Lope De Vega colt and his owners have stumped up the money to supplement him. William Buick rides and should get the job done.

Leg 2: Football

MK Dons v Port Vale Betting

The internationals may still be happening, but there’s lower league domestic action too include MK Dons versus Port Vale at 3pm.

Port Vale come into this game in sixth place, six points clear of their hosts but it’s the home side we’re backing here.

MK Dons came into the season with many tipping them to win the league. Their start has been a little disappointing, but its noticeable how they’ve picked up lately and they come into this in proper form having scored 5 at Harrogate, drawn with Tranmere and then drew Arsenal’s under-21’s 2-2 in the cup before winning the bonus point penalty shootout 3-1.

Port Vale are in good form themselves having gone seven games unbeaten since losing 3-2 at home to Doncaster back in late August. The thing to note however is that all of their games are close and it’s just a matter of time before they are taken down.

MK Dons, despite their faults, can score goals and that’s what we’re relying on here. They have scored nine in their last 3 games and a little more of that will be enough to take down the visitors and start the climb up the table where they feel they belong.

Leg 3: Rugby League

Super League Grand Final 2024 Handicap Betting

The Super League Grand Final takes place at 6pm this Saturday and it’s shaping up to be a belter.

Wigan platy Hull KR at Old Trafford and the game looks set to attract the biggest Grand Final attendance since 2017. This promises to be some season-closing show.

In 2017, Leeds beat Castleford in the Grand Final in front of some 72,827 people. Now, rugby league officials are hopeful of the first 65,000+ crowd since that match at Old Trafford with ticket sales going well. That should lead to the sort of atmosphere we’re looking for.

We could even be on for a sell-out with the stadium capacity set at 69,000 for the final. There’s a real buzz about this one and we’re hoping it’ll bring out the best in the favourites.

These are two good teams, there’s no doubt about that, but there is a thought that Wigan will simply be too good for Hull KR on the day. The handicap is 8 points in Wigan’s favour, but they could outdo that we feel and so that is the bet.

Leg 4: Boxing

Eubank Jr v Szeremeta Betting

There’s plenty of boxing and MMA action for those interested on Saturday evening. The bout we’re concentrating on is Chris Eubank JR. v Kamil Szeremeta over in Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh is the venue for the main event and it’s one in which Eubank Jr. is a very heavy favourite indeed.

Those very long-on prices to win the fight are correct in all honesty, so when looking for a bet in the bout it’s best to stick with Eubank and not mess around with anything too fancy.

Eubank Jr. to win by knockout, technical knockout or disqualification together is the way to go and finishes off our accumulator nicely.

The Bet

  • Shadow Of Light, Dewhurst Stakes, 3pm
  • MK Dons, League 2, 3pm
  • Wigan -8, Super League Grand Final, 6pm
  • Chris Eubank Jr. to win by KO, TKO or DQ, 7pm

The four-timer should come to around 16/1 or bigger, depending on the firm you choose to bet with. Shop around to get the best price for the acca and get on as early as you can.
